What does the free Open Graph Preview analyze?

Title and description
og:title and og:description, the text networks show under the image.
-
2
The share image
Whether og:image or twitter:image is an absolute URL that loads and is really an image.
-
3
Image size
Under 200×200 px most networks ignore it; about 1200×630 px gives a sharp large card.
-
4
Aspect ratio
Large cards are about 1.91:1 — other shapes get cropped.
-
5
Twitter card
twitter:card set to a known value such as summary_large_image.
-
6
URL and type
og:url and og:type, so shares point to one address and are read correctly.

Frequently asked questions
About the Open Graph Preview.
01
What image size works best?
1200 × 630 px is the common choice for large previews; keep important text away from the edges.
02
I changed the image but the old one still shows. Why?
Networks cache previews. Use the network’s own sharing debugger to fetch the page again.
03
Does Open Graph affect Google rankings?
No. It shapes how shared links look, which can bring more clicks from social and chats.
04
Do I need Twitter tags too?
X falls back to Open Graph for most fields; add twitter:card to choose the large preview.
05
Why must the image URL be absolute?
Networks fetch it from their own servers, so a relative path like /img/share.png can’t be resolved.
06
Is it free?
Yes. No account is needed. We limit how often one visitor can run checks so the tools stay fast for everyone.
