Startup publications and directories that take founder stories

Where a founder can submit a startup, publish a story or get listed — startup magazines, launch directories and founder communities that say they accept them.

Woodander Media Published Oct 3, 2026 · Updated Oct 26, 2026 · 3 min read

Every launch needs a few places that will write about it, list it or let you tell the story yourself. Most "best launch platforms" lists are years old; these are startup publications and directories that, today, say on their own pages that they accept founder stories, guest posts or startup submissions.

How we built this list. On 10 October 2026 we opened each site's own pages — the home page, the "write for us", "advertise" and contact pages — and noted only what the site itself says it accepts. Every "open to" item links to the page where the site says so. We left out link farms and sites whose main business is selling links. Policies change, so read the linked page before you pitch.

Make the story worth publishing

  • One sharp angle. Not "we launched", but the decision, the mistake or the number that makes your story different.
  • Numbers you can stand behind. Revenue, users, retention — or say clearly why you won't share them.
  • A founder, not a brand. Editors and readers respond to a person.
