Find places to promote your project
Directories, newsletters, podcasts and communities — free to browse, each with its rules and when it was last checked.
Topic (what your project is about) and opportunity type (how you reach people) are separate filters.
How to choose a relevant opportunity
- 1 Match the topic. Is your project the kind of thing they cover?
- 2 Check language and audience separately. An English newsletter may mostly reach the US; a German blog may reach DACH.
- 3 Read the guidelines. Format, length, what they don’t accept, and how to submit.
- 4 Look at freshness. Prefer entries checked recently; treat “Needs recheck” with care.
- 5 Know the cost. Free submissions are selective; paid sponsorships buy placement and live in Market.
Questions
Is it free to use the directory?
Yes. Searching, filtering and reading requirements are free without an account. Saving to your Workspace needs a free account.
Some opportunities cost money — is that a sponsorship?
Some third-party sites charge a submission or review fee, and we show that. Negotiated sponsorship offers from publishers are listed in Woodander Market instead.
Do you guarantee inclusion?
No. Each publication decides on its own. A listing describes the opportunity and how it was checked.
How are listings verified?
Two separate labels. Source — “Verified by page” means we found and checked the submission information on a public page on that date, not that the publisher endorses Woodander or is accepting now. Submission status — Open, Closed or Unknown, as of the last check. AI leads stay unverified until checked.
How is Outreach different from Market?
Outreach lists organic places to submit or pitch. Market lists publishers’ paid advertising offers and lets you contact them directly.
What if a listing is outdated?
Use “Report an outdated listing” on the opportunity page — no login needed. A moderator rechecks it.
