Tech publications that accept guest posts from developers and founders
Developer communities, engineering blogs and tech magazines that publish outside authors — with the page where each says how.
Developers find tools through other developers' writing: a tutorial that solves a real problem, a post-mortem, a comparison done honestly. Writing for an established tech publication puts that work in front of an audience you could not buy.
These tech publications and communities say on their own pages that they publish outside authors.
How we built this list. On 10 October 2026 we opened each site's own pages — the home page, the "write for us", "advertise" and contact pages — and noted only what the site itself says it accepts. Every "open to" item links to the page where the site says so. We left out link farms and sites whose main business is selling links. Policies change, so read the linked page before you pitch.

How to get a technical piece accepted
- Solve one problem completely. Working code, real numbers, the dead ends you hit.
- Your product is a footnote. Most technical editors cut promotional paragraphs; a short author bio usually stays.
- Pitch before you write where the site asks for pitches — it saves both sides a rejected draft.
