Questions about Spider
Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature works for free, up to 500 URLs per crawl, and you do not need an account. When a crawl reaches the limit it stops and keeps everything it found. Spider Pro removes the limit.
What does Spider Pro include?
No URL limit. It costs $149 a year for one seat, and it is included in Woodander Pro (1 seat) and Agency (3 seats).
What happens when the year ends?
A Spider Pro bought on its own keeps working in every version released during the paid year. Newer versions need a renewal. Spider Pro included in a Woodander plan lasts as long as the plan.
Does it need internet or an account all the time?
No. Crawls run on your computer and are saved there as files. The licence is checked when you are online and stays valid offline for 14 days. After that Spider runs as the free version and keeps all your crawls.
Which systems does it run on?
Windows and Linux. You sign in with your Woodander account inside the app, or use a licence key on servers and CI.
How does it work with Claude?
Spider includes an MCP server. Connect it to Claude Desktop or Claude Code with one click in the app, then ask Claude to crawl a site, show the issues and open any page. Claude reads the same crawl files you see in the app.
